Gruppo Florence believes that true luxury comes from people, their stories, and the traditions passed down from generation to generation.

To celebrate this magic, Gruppo Florence has awarded a scholarship to an Italian higher education institute that won the competition for the production of the second episode of Le Mani della Moda, the docufilm that tells the hidden Italy of luxury, revealing the stories of some of the 38 workshops that make up Gruppo Florence. Alongside the docufilm, a photographic project enriches the narration of the faces and hands of those who continue to bring the Italian craft tradition to life.

THE JOURNEY ALONG THE HIDDEN ITALY OF GLOBAL LUXURY

A true road movie captures the essence of luxury craftsmanship, highlighting the passion and craftsmanship behind each garment.

The first project of 2024’s Le Mani della Moda: the journey along the Hidden Italy of global luxury was born from the union of emerging talents from Central Saint Martins, University of the Arts London, and consists of two parts: the docufilm and the photographic project. The campaign celebrates the professionals working behind the scenes of this fascinating industry and aims to inspire young talents to discover not only the glamorous side of fashion, but also the work, craftsmanship and research behind each creation. The photo project includes a series of portraits of Gruppo Florence employees who honour craftsmanship and keep the authentic value of Made in Italy alive.

The artisans themselves say: “We are custodians of the Italian manufacturing tradition, we make your garments with our hands”.

Success is based on the economic, tangible and measurable value of industrial, financial and human capital, but also on the added value, which is an intangible datum linked to the care and passion of our workforce as indicators of sustainability and resilience, ensuring consistency and reliability of the Group’s real economic value.

It is from this vision that the idea of telling the stories of life and passion that have made luxury possible, through Made In Italy around the world, began.
