Barbetta, a company from Nardò (LE) founded in 1973 by Luciano Barbetta and his wife Ileana, is specialized in the design and production of jersey products, ranging from highly manufactured dresses to highly technical outerwear. The company, in constant growth over the years, has managed to produce up to 50.000 garments per month for the most prestigious luxury brands and has been able to establish itself among the most excellent examples of “made in Italy” in Puglia.

Since its foundation in 1973, Barbetta has specialized in the production in the luxury clothing sector and in the supply of high quality services to the most important fashion houses, supporting them in the creation of the product in all its phases. The company’s growth strategy was also based on the development of important partnerships with other realities in the Apulian area, up to the birth of a district with more than ten companies, complementary and connected to each other, which guarantee Barbetta the possibility of making jersey garments with particular processes and different mixes of materials. The company, which next year will celebrate the fiftieth anniversary of its foundation, today has about 180 employees with an associated network of 40 laboratories with 800 people who work almost exclusively for Barbetta. The company also has an 800 mXNUMX knitwear department, equipped with the latest generation machinery, the result of partnerships signed between the network and two knitwear factories in the area.
