ERIKA AND LEONELLO SPAGNOL

The knitwear factory Leonello Spagnol, born in Valdobbiadene in 1949 and Maglificio Erika, founded in Gazzo Veronese in 1985, manufacturing excellences specialized in the design and production of knitwear, and with them the Spagnol and Descrovi families who lead them, join the large family of Gruppo Florence. Two other important manufacturing companies that bring to 19 the number of companies serving the top international fashion brands that have joined the project.

Leonello Spagnol was born from the foresight of the entrepreneur from whom it takes its name to serve the Italian knitwear market after the Second World War. In the 60s the company began to export to the United States and Canada but it was in the 70s that the knitwear factory, thanks to the second generation of entrepreneurs, approached the great prêt-à-porter brands and began to get to know the world of international fashion. In 2012, the founder’s grandchildren, Edoardo and Riccardo, joined the company, giving a further important boost to the company’s growth thanks to constant technological innovation to obtain among the highest quality standards. Leonello Spagnol turnover in 2021 of 26,5 million euros, produces today approx 130 thousand heads a year in his two factories of 5.550 square meters overall, and a thousand prototypes, count 135 employees it’s a Research and development division completely in-houseThe company is now a reference partner for the most important luxury brands recognized for the quality of their knitwear.

 

 

The Erika knitwear factory is a rapidly expanding company that since 1985 serves the best luxury brands in the world by leveraging cutting-edge technology and speed of execution that allows it to produce about 130 thousand heads a year and to be competitive in an extremely demanding sector, always remaining faithful to tradition and sartorial care. From the initial 30 collaborators, today the knitwear factory can count on 119 employees, in addition to the 250 dedicated employees of subcontractors, all certified on the environmental, ethical and safety aspects by the knitwear factory and by customers. Erika has achieved a turnover of almost 30 million at the end of 2021. The company stands out for the use of advanced technology thanks to innovative machinery such as electronic COTTON looms and SHIMA straight-line machines of all finenesses in addition to the yarn conditioning chamber, which allows the yarn to be stabilized in order to use it to the maximum of its technical characteristics. with extreme processing. Inside, the company has the prototyping and sampling department as well as the weaving, treatment, packaging, finishing and ironing department that are developed on 5000 square meters of factory built with particular attention to the environmental impact and in compliance with the regulations in the ecological field.
